Our Story
Exceeding Expectations One Patient at a Time
Dedicated to exceptional care and providing the highest quality treatments, Dr.Kim has been serving the local East Falls/Philadelphia community since she graduated in 2007 from the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. East Falls Family Dentistry specializes in both restorative and cosmetic procedures by performing tooth colored fillings, crowns and bridges, traditional and esthetic dentures, root canal therapy, dental implant surgery and restorations, extractions, geriatric and pediatric dentistry, teeth whitening, veneers, Invisalign (orthodontics), gum disease treatments, preventive education with modern dental techniques as well as same day emergency appointments.
East Falls Family Dentistry uses modern dental technology such as dental cone beam computed tomography (CT) to produce 3D images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan.
In February of 2016, Dr. Kim was awarded a Fellowship from International Congress of Implantation (ICOI). Dr.Kim is the only fellow (as of this writing) by ICOI in East Falls, PA.

5. Root canal treatment
A root canal is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth. The procedure involves removing the damaged area of the tooth (the pulp), cleaning and disinfecting it and then filling and sealing it. The common causes affecting the pulp are a cracked tooth, a deep cavity, repeated dental treatment to the tooth or trauma. The term "root canal" comes from cleaning of the canals inside the tooth's root.
6. Scaling & Root planning
Scaling is a common dental procedure for patients with gum disease. This is a type of dental cleaning that reaches below the gumline to remove plaque buildup. The process of scaling and root planing the teeth is often referred to as a deep cleaning. This treatment goes beyond the general cleaning that you receive with your regular checkup and annual visit.
7. Crown & Bridge
Restoration / tooth colored fillings
Bridges and crowns are fixed prosthetic devices that are cemented onto existing teeth or implants by a dentist or prosthodontist. Crowns are used most commmonly to entirely cover or "cap" a damaged tooth or cover an implant. Bridges are commonly used to cover a space if you are missing one or more teeth. They are cemented to natural teeth or implants surrounding the space where the tooth once stood.
In addition to strengthening a damaged tooth, bridges and crowns can be used to improve a tooth's appearance, shape, alignment and dental occlusion (bite).
